CAPTAIN SPARROW

OFFICIAL WORK MANUAL

[ DRAFT: 2025-09-18 ] — [ REV: 25.09.18 ]

"This store is not a big ship, but a small boat designed for one-crew operation.
Every crew is the Captain."

๐Ÿ’ฐ Duty & Wage Policy

The Pirate Life Attitude

Our objective is to establish a stylish and unique liquor store. We employ the most exceptional and dynamic workers.

  • One-Crew Operation: You are the officer, boatswain, engineer, clerk, and steward simultaneously.
  • No Idle Time: Do not just wait for customers while watching videos or reading magazines. There are enough jobs to be busy even if there are no customers.

Wage Regulation (The 25 Cent Rule)

Our company values punctuality. Your attendance directly affects your paycheck.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Wage INCREASE (+$0.25)
If you arrive on time for every shift in a two-week pay period, your wage increases by $0.25 until hitting the ceiling.
๐Ÿ“‰ Wage REDUCTION (-$0.25)
If you are late or call out even ONCE during the two-week period, your wage is reduced by $0.25 until it reaches minimum wage.

Resignation: Must provide 14-day notice. Penalty for failure: $200 deducted from final payroll.

๐Ÿงน Routine & Maintenance

Customer Service Priorities

  1. Eye Contact & Smile: Prioritize this above all else.
  2. Watch & Recognize: Ask for ID/Membership before they roam if suspicious. Most shoplifting happens due to lack of attention.
  3. Secure Store: Never leave the counter when a customer is present.

Cleaning Duties

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store.

  • Merchandise: Use a Swiffer to remove dust from merchandise at least once daily.
  • Shelves: Dust with Swiffer. Use wet towel for stuck glue/dirt.
  • Floor: Vacuum/Sweep without blowing dust. Mop as needed.
  • Outside: Sweep trash, shovel snow, spray snow salt.
  • Deep Cleaning: Follow the "Total Shelf Cleaning System" map to complete deep cleaning of all shelves once a month.

Product Handling

  • Six Packs: Create from 30-packs if needed. DO NOT charge 6-pack price for a single can!
  • Ice Bags: Make ice at night (cheaper electricity). If plugged in at night, leave a note for morning shift to bag it. Do not use surge protector strip for ice maker.
  • Cool Product Display:
    • All products must have price tags.
    • Face front. Shooters face cashier (except front one).
    • No empty lines. If out of stock, put a "Skull" item on the shelf to mark it.
